Making a run
easier to read.
A small update to a Snake-like arcade experiment: hear what happens, see what a hit costs, and get into another run.
What changed
Sound cues
Short event sounds add feedback during play. A labelled sound control lets the player mute them.
Clearer heart changes
Damage and healing have visible notices. The end of a run names the cause, so a collision leaves something to learn from.
A shorter way back in
Quick runs last up to 90 seconds. The original 180-second option remains, with separate best scores for each duration.
What the playtest showed
The recorded session included repeated retries, upgrade choices, and rising best scores. The added sound was noticed and positively received.
The final run ended in a tight turn with no hearts left and time still on the clock. It was not a completed 90-second survival.
